Mike L. report on shore fishing at PNP

I’ve been shore fishing at Norwegian and PNP for the past month. Originally, it was all pinks and the occasional Chinook or small resident Coho; it’s a banner year for Chinooks from the shore; too bad they have to get a pat on the backside, and sent back onto the field. The past week and a half, it’s been all Coho in the 4-5 lb range, but friends are reporting many pinks still being caught when I’m not there, and a 7lb Coho caught by a buddy who had property near PNP park.

I’ve been averaging a fish every other day. (Some days they are all out in the middle, jumping 300 yards off shore and laughing at me). I’ve been using a 2.5” “Glow” rotator lure (similar to a buzz bomb, 1.5oz) with a pink double glow squid on the tail, and it’s served me well this year.
