Went out with #2 son today to fish for halibut even though tides said stay home and save $$$. Started at 630 at liplip, nodule. Current so bad even a 10lb downrigger ball would not stay down. Went to mutiny bay at 930. Started at the south hump and low and behold, no current. Go figure. 15 minutes later Matt gets a hit and we land a 17.5lber on the hump using black label no skirt. Been here since 2008 and have landed 2 halibut, both caught by same person. Not sure when he is fishing again but I hope soon.
